Eco Roots Foundation started the initiative Green Window when global pandemic Covid 19 started effecting community health and education due to which schools were closed all over India with the support of HCL Foundation. Green Window connects teachers/trainers, students, children, guardians and specialists under one roof.
The activities underlined in this project to organize 30 workshops in different government schools of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh & Karnataka. These workshops were to be organized with the teachers and the students of 30 different schools.
Also, an audio library of 12 podcasts covering issues like water conservation, Indian birds, waste recycle, biodiversity etc. were created. In addition to this, we also created videos With the help of expert video, we have covered nature closely making people understand easily and in an interesting way. We have also identified 30 Harit buddy from Government schools and now these Harit Buddy will be spreading awareness further in their community. The project was effectively implemented in four states – Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka. And covered– Lucknow, Noida, Greater Noida, Pune, Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore and Bengaluru cities. Total we our target was to cover 300 teachers / trainers and 3000 students / trainees therefore total 3,300 direct beneficiaries were to be involved. In actual we have covered 360 teachers / trainers and 3,712 students / trainees total 4,072 direct beneficiaries participated in this project till now.
